Linda Gookin, PhD
Principal Consultant
Linda is a Principal Consultant and accomplished leadership advisor specializing in executive advisory work, CEO succession, executive assessment, coaching and talent development. With over 20 years of experience in consulting across diverse industries – including life sciences, healthcare, consumer goods and financial services – she is known for her client-centric approach. Linda meticulously analyzes organizational challenges to deliver tailored solutions that enhance leadership effectiveness, drive strategic success, and empower executives through targeted coaching. Linda brings a wealth of expertise in designing and implementing large-scale selection systems, developing talent management strategies, and facilitating team effectiveness initiatives. Her strong background in assessment and succession planning allows her to offer invaluable insights to organizations navigating leadership transitions.
Prior to starting her own consulting practice, Linda spent over nine years at KornFerry, where worked in the Assessment and CEO Succession practices. Her career also includes senior roles at prestigious firms like Mercer and Hay Group, where she advised clients on a wide range of human capital and learning and development interventions. This extensive background, combined with her global consulting experience, enables her to connect with clients on a meaningful level, actively listening to their needs and offering strategic, sustainable solutions.
Linda holds a Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration in business, as well as two master’s degrees and a BA in Psychology. In addition to her consulting work, she teaches at NYU in the Masters in Human Capital Management program, sharing her knowledge and experience with aspiring professionals in the fields of psychology and organizational development.
